Group Airline Loyalty delivers the strategic direction for the loyalty programmes for IAG. It works in collaboration with the operating airlines, to create world class loyalty propositions, and take these to customers using data and digital technology. As a Centre of Excellence (CoE) for loyalty services, it provides customer solutions and propositions, data science, marketing platforms of audiences, segments and plans to drive the loyalty cycle. The CoE works in tandem with the operating airlines to ensure delivery and maximisation of the loyalty programmes.
About the role
We're looking for a Marketing Executive to work closely with a strategic airline partner for Avios, working closely with stakeholders and the central CRM team to maximise delivery of marketing plans, activities, campaigns and customer communications that support Avios Group Limited (AGL) and our partner in the delivery of business and customer targets.
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract role is based in Waterside, with frequent travel to relevant markets. This role will report in to the CRM Planning Lead and will primarily be focused on Air Italy, Flybe and the onboarding of New and Growth Partners across multi-schemes.
What you'll be doing:
- Accountable for the development and delivery of marketing plans for air and non-air partners in line with the AGL targets and partnership objectives
- Central co-ordination of marketing plans working closely with line manager and marketing planning to prioritise
- Execution of all Avios related marketing campaigns, including but not limited to delivery of launch and post-launch marketing for new partners and CRM campaigns
- Manage and co-ordinate assets in addition to regularly reviewing partner channels
- Manage the campaign process for AGL created assets through developing appropriate briefs (creative, data, fulfilment etc) to sign-off and execution.
- Day to day management and development of collaborative and trusted relationships with key partner contacts including the marketing teams and agencies
- Build strong and credible relationships with the relevant internal commercial contacts.
- Providing commercial and marketing briefs to partner teams to secure marketing support in partner channels.
- Ensure all AGL funded activity has a business case, is forecasted and is measurable by delivery from a marketing and commercial perspective. Encourage test and learn strategies to maximise ROI
- Report campaign results to all key stakeholders and share learnings and recommendations for future activity
- Work collaboratively with the relevant internal support teams to deliver marketing plans efficiently and effectively, on time and in budget
- Act as an Avios brand ambassador giving approval for the use of the Avios brand in creative activities managed by your team
- Develop a detailed knowledge of the partner strategy and related market sector
- Administration of marketing plan and budget allocation.
- Additional administrative and support activity for the team as necessary.

What we're looking for:
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills, able to deliver clean and concise marketing copy
- Delivery focused, deadline driven with the ability to multi-task effectively across numerous projects/deliverables
- Committed to delivering quality work with excellent attention to detail
- A passion for marketing success and ROI - ideally with a good understanding of all aspects of the promotional mix (PR, sponsorships, advertising, direct mail, internal campaign management, CRM)
- Customer focused with commercial acumen and understanding of AGL and partnership targets and objectives.
- Good knowledge of airline FFP (frequent flyer programme) market and consumer behaviour, able to translate insights into actionable marketing strategies and marketing plans for Avios
- Relevant experience working with partners and internal stakeholders to develop and deliver successful marketing activities on deadline
- Fluency in another language (such as Spanish, French or Italian) would be advantageous
